Five on Friday

Written By Unknown on Friday, June 6, 2014 | 5:31 AM

Happy weekend y'all! We are headed to the mountains to take in some cool and crisp air this weekend. I am more than excited to introduce Camille to the beauty of the mountains. And simultaneously, I'm a little bit nervous about our first overnight trip with her. I hope I don't forget to pack anything for her, but I think it may just happen.

Time for a little Five On Friday with my lovely cohostesses ChristinaDarci, and Natasha. Hope you will join us this week!

One of the best part about maternity leave has been setting lunch dates with friends. This week we had a very fun lunch with Christina and sweet Caroline, and the wee babe was so awesome ... she slept most of the whole lunch!

This was a true SUCCESS because here are the girls just one week prior at their first lunch date.

Ummmm, whose baby is that on the right... #timetogetasleepsheep

My mom, two sisters and I are participating in a 30 day challenge ... guts and glutes is the name of the game, and might I say that this "theme" is quite timely for a new mama! Admittedly, I haven't been the best so far in following the plan, but I plan to get serious about it.

I did meet the goal yesterday.
Yesterday was the Rest day. ;)

If any of you want to join in and help keep me accountable, contact me and we can keep each other accountable to the challenge via emails!

30 day challenge - I'd have to lower the reps for some of these moves, but I like that it's the same two moves for every 4 day interval then it changes to two different ones.

My breakfast of choice these days is overnight oats. These are so very easy to make. On Sunday afternoons, I'll go ahead and put together five mason jars of the oats and then just keep them in the fridge. Then, all I have to do each morning is grab a jar and a spoon. Easy! I posted here about the basic recipe, and the main tweaks I've made recently are that I am using quick oats, organic cow's milk, and different add-ins this time around. My oatmeal this morning contained dried cherries, dried apples, cinnamon, flaxseed, coconut, and walnuts.

We had bath time last night for the little one, and I can't rave enough about the Noodle & Boo line. A girlfriend of mine turned me on to this line of baby bath products. The scent is amazing -- I just want to bury my nose in her hair all night after her bath. It's a little more expensive than traditional baby bath products, but I wanted to start Camille off with the best of the best. I'd highly recommend this large bottle of the Newborn 2-in-1 Hair and Body Wash ($18 here). I find that these products are also great gifts at baby showers because it's a nice splurge that the mama might not make for herself.

Your turn to link up, ladies -- I'd love to read your five! Any five things on your mind will do. Just link to one or all of the hostess sites and insert the logo below. Then link up with us and you are set. :)
