Let's start with the most exciting part first.
An easy new hairstyle! A super easy one. The messy French twist.
I asked Ian last night if he thought I looked pretty and romantic. He responded by saying he was fairly sure he had married the most girly girl in the world.

Here's the tutorial so you can try it for yourself! I used maybe 7-8 bobby pins and stuck them straight into the twist as pictured in photo six above. My biggest recommendation: tease that top section well! It makes you look pretty and romantic and French.
Maybe I am the girliest girl in the world.
In other exciting news, I woke up super early Saturday morning and snuck out of bed so excited because it just hit me that I might be able to make Carolina Charm's Easy Pumpkin Bread. I knew for sure I had canned pumpkin and I was pretty sure I had a box of cake mix as well. I did have that mix, however it was just half a box of yellow cake mix -- so I improvised by using a smaller loaf pan and just using half of the can of pumpkin. When Ian got out of bed about 30 minutes later, the house smelled heavenly! It was so easy and tasty right out of the oven topped with pumpkin cream cheese.
Due to icky weather on Saturday, Ian and I decided to forego his little birthday adventure (hopefully this Saturday will be a better day?) and he still is in the dark about what it will entail. So excited!
We had a very, VERY lazy weekend around the house but I did get some new bangles made. After the On A String tutorial on Thursday night, I couldn't wait to try out a few more styles. The top left shows the ones I made Thursday, and the other four on the top right are the new additions. My next one to make will need to be a pink one that I can pair with the white and green bangles. Or even with the red. I'm sort of a nut about loving red and pink together.
So that's it in my neck of the woods. I've got a little travel to the coast planned this week for work, which I never mind!
