Five On Friday

Written By Unknown on Friday, October 11, 2013 | 4:00 AM

Do you ever feel guilty for wishing away the workweeks just to land yourself on a Friday?

Me too. :)

Here we are again and I am thrilled to say we've done 22 (!) Five On Friday link-ups thus far ... thank each and every one of you who have linked up once with us! Anybody out there linked up all twenty-two times? I think there are definitely some of you ... you rock!

Here are my five today.

This weekend we have a total fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants schedule, and I'm okay with that. All this gal is begging for is an alarm-clock free Saturday morning ... is there anything better? I'm not even a late sleeper, but to be able to wake on my own when it's not pitch black dark outside would be pretty swell. So yay for laid-back weekends!

Indeed!

The best thing to ask a girl with great hair is "how do you get your great hair" and that's exactly what I did to a coworker last week. She swears by this Remington wand so I went right out and bought it. It's a fairly inexpensive version at $25 and I've been amazed at how long it truly holds a curl as opposed to my traditional curling iron. I still do love my hot rollers (circa 1980s, they were Mom's) but this gives a totally different type of curl. I might want to experiment with one with a thicker barrel next ... which one do ya'll like?

Did you know that every Friday I have a tradition of going to Marshall's on my lunch break? Yep, every. single. week. One of the cashiers there is so sweet and she says "see you next Friday!" A lot of times I walk out empty-handed, but still -- it's therapeutic to me.

Easy comfort-food dinners are where it's at, and this one is a favorite. Thaw chicken breasts or tenderloins, drizzle with olive oil and add some S+P, top with marinara sauce and shake on some breadcrumbs, bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Top with sliced fresh mozzarella (seriously, go with fresh here) and basil leaves, back in the oven it goes for 10 minutes. Done and done.

I'd like to paint the interior of our front doors black, and let it be known that my foyer looks about 180 degrees different than this one. But just for a visual ... doesn't this just make such a statement? What's your vote, should I go for it? Have you given it a shot? Seems like it's "the" thing to do with interiors now. :)

I think a lot of you know how this works but if you are new to the party, please join this link-up along with me and my beautiful co-hostesses -- DarciNatasha, and Christina. Playing along is simple!  Just write a post about five things on your mind today, anything goes really, post the logo below on your blog, and then enter your post address below in the link-up section. It's a great way of meeting new friends and getting more eyes on your cute blog!
