Stationery Favorites

Written By Unknown on Friday, April 5, 2013 | 6:08 AM

I've always been a fan of beautiful, well-made paper products.

Okay, let's call it what it is: I'm obsessed with personalized stationery and nice invitations.

In our home office, I keep this wooden organizer filled with some of my favorites:

And don't think it ends there.  I also have this large plastic tub that is filled with even more stationery goodness.

I know what you are thinking -- hoarder!  And maaaaybe you're right.  But it's better than hoarding cats or old yellowed newspapers, yes?

To me, there are three traits that I always look for when purchasing my paper products:

{Paper Quality and Heft}
Flimsy paper, be gone!  I have no room for you.  The thicker the cardstock, the nicer it appears.  You don't always have to spend a lot of money to get quality paper -- it just takes a little searching.

{Personalization}
Anytime I have a choice, I opt for personalization.  Whether it's a monogram, a name, even just a surname initial -- it takes your stationery to the next level and shows that it is customized for you.

{Unique Design}
We've all seen the same designs over and over, and while they may be pretty, they might also be forgettable.  I always look for a design, a color combination, or a paper size that is a little off the beaten path.  The recipient will get a little more joy in seeing something they've never seen before.

What about you, what traits do you look for in stationery and invitations?
Do you have any favorite sources for purchasing yours?
